

Miss Lola Dancy – Mistress of the Magic
Lola Avent Dancy was born in Nashville, Tennessee in 1885. She and her sister Miss Fredonia Dancy were schooled in the magical arts by their dearly departed mother who left this earth in 1901.
After the death of Mrs. Dancy, the sisters relocated to Astoria, Oregon to begin a new chapter in their lives. Together they opened a magic shop and the Judge & Gibbet pub.
Lola is an avid vegetarian and is known to take the law into her own hands much to the chagrin of the local constabulary.

Miss Hitomi Akiko – Vampire Extraordinaire
Miss Hitomi Akiko was born in Hakodate, Japan in 1690. Her life truly began in 1715 when she transitioned into a vampire.
Miss Akiko met Miss Fredonia Dancy in 1904 when both ladies were vacationing in San Francisco. It did not take long for the two to become fast friends. The beautiful vampire moved to the rough and tumble town of Astoria, Oregon to become business partners with Miss Dancy in 1905.
Miss Akiko made two vows in 1715, to never feed upon an innocent and to never allow a man to take away her freedom.

Mr. Jonathan Pickles – Former Circus Clown and Time Traveler
Jonathan Pickles and his sister Tickles Sweetie were born to gloriously beautiful circus folk. The aerialists were deeply ashamed of their unsightly offspring so they deserted them in the woods one cold autumn evening with nothing more than the clothes on their back. Left to their own devices, the siblings wandered into a rundown circus and begged for help. The circus owner had pity on them and handed the siblings over to the care of a troupe of clowns. As clowns, Jonathan and Tickles Sweetie were able to hide the shame of their ugliness behind colorful grease paint.
Pickles is currently working at the Judge & Gibbet pub. He is working hard to become a better person. His dearest dream is to reunite with his lovely, lost love Collette.

Miss Fayeline Clementops – Historian and Time Traveler
Fayleline was born in 1997 in Portland, Oregon. The young historian works remotely for Ad Vina Fundenda Institute, specializing in ancient texts and languages. The ability to time travel is a great advantage to the brilliant scholar. Her favorite destination is Astoria, Oregon circa 1911, which is home to many of her dear friends. When not in Astoria, she spends her time in her charming cottage in Seaside, Oregon.

Miss Akvilina Amstutz – Immortal and Founder of Ad Vina Fundenda
Akvilina Amstutz and her twin Aleksis were born in 1382 in Bern Switzerland. They never knew their father, but they were aware of the whispers that followed them when they were children. In hushed tones, strangers would say, “Their father came from the sky.”
In their 35th year, Akwilina and Aleksis woke to find their hair had turned completely white. On that day, the aging process stopped and the siblings were suddenly immune to illness as well as the ravages of time.

Dr. Franziska Anzenberger- Schäfer – Physician
“Franzie” as her friends call her, was born in Vienna, Austria in 1880. A brilliant child, she enrolled in the Sorbonne at the age of 13 and Medizinische Universität Wien at 15. She was obsessed with the theories of Dr. Freud and was determined to specialize in diseases of the mind. In 1910, Franzie visited her friend Lola in Astoria and could not bring herself to leave. She now happily lives the life of a small town doctor.

Isabella Zamfirescu once lived the life of a farmer’s daughter in her home country of Romania. But one fateful day in 1907, she began living her life as a bat in order to escape danger. Now that she is a young woman, she is able to take both forms; that of a human, and of a bat.

Petra’s origins are not known, but she is a very well liked rat. Petra has become more aware of the world around her. Since learning to read, she has become obsessed with cooking and is a rabid Anglophile. She enjoys spending time with her friends while in original form as well as inside her porcelain golem in the red gingham dress. This one-eyed rat with a crooked tail is very grateful for her happy life.

Fanny Mae Goggin is a good little girl. She grew up in timber country in the tiny town of Myrtle Point, Oregon. Fanny’s daddy worked on the green chain and her mommy stocked shelves part-time at the mercantile. Fanny may not be a clever girl, but she is a hard worker and universally liked.
